The Launch of the State Key Laboratory of Organic-Inorganic Composites

In November 2011, the Ministry of Science and Technology officially approved to establish the State key Laboratory of Organic-Inorganic Composites with the Beijing University of Chemical Technology. Aiming at China’s demand for organic-inorganic composites in economic and social development, the Lab has established the following five research interests with a highlight on three scientific issues including the constitutive relationship of structure-function of composites, the active design and preparation science of basic phase materials, and the dispersion-interface science in compositing process, so as to create organic-inorganic composites with high performance, multi-function and low cost. It is expected to become a national-level base of innovative research and applied technology development, helping to elevate China’s research in organic-inorganic composite materials to internationally first-class.
