Research interests:

  1. Converion of biomass and coal to chemicals.

  2. Capture of SO2 and CO2 from flue gas.

  3. Phase behaviors and molecular interaction and chemical thermodynamics of supercritical CO2 and ionic liquids.

  4. Design and synthesis of functional ionic liquids and their applications.

  5. Supercritical CO2 extraction.
